Scope of Work
The contractor will provide transportation services for Sailors within the Newport News area. This includes transporting Sailors from Government Leased Apartments (GLAs) to the 50th Street and 35th Street turnstiles, and between the 37th Street Parking Garage, 50th Street turnstile, Huntington Hall, Bank Building, and government housing. Services require 15-passenger vans and/or charter/shuttle buses capable of transporting up to 40 personnel. The contractor is responsible for all fuel, EZ-Pass for tolls, and parking fees. Vehicles must be air-conditioned, not more than five years old, in good mechanical condition, and compliant with safety standards. Drivers must be qualified, licensed in Virginia, and adhere to local labor laws regarding driving hours.
