Scope of Sale
This opportunity involves the sale of approximately 50 tons of Scrap Galvanized Steel. The steel may contain up to 5% foreign materials, which will not be deducted from the cost, and no on-site sorting is permitted. The contractor is responsible for weighing the steel on a depot-certified commercial scale and providing proof of weight. The property must be removed no later than September 30, 2026.
Terms & Conditions
A 20% earnest deposit of the total proposal price is required from the winning offeror within five calendar days of the Sales Agreement effective date, payable via pay.gov. This deposit will be retained until all property is removed and fully paid for. Payment for all material is due prior to removal, also through pay.gov. The first removal must occur within seven business days of the Sales Agreement effective date. The Sierra Army Depot may assist with loading, but only depot employees will operate government-owned equipment. The contractor is responsible for all freight costs, shipping losses, and safely securing the steel. Failure to pay for and remove awarded steel will result in a default fee and being barred from future government sales.
