Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide all labor, material, and components to remove the existing roofing material, clean up, dispose of it, and install a new roofing system on the Salt Wells Fire Station Barracks building.

• Removal and disposal of approximately 20 squares of old sloped roofing system.

• Installation of approximately 20 squares of synthetic underlayment.

• Installation of 1 1/2" drip edge galvanized metal on all perimeters.

• Installation of approximately 20 squares of GAF Reflective Limited Lifetime shingles and ProRidge on all ridges.

• All manufactured articles, materials, and equipment must be applied and installed as directed by the manufacturer, unless otherwise specified by the Bureau of Land Management. All materials must be new.

• Work must be performed by skilled employees.

• Contractor shall provide and install all necessary materials for the new roof system.

• All assemblies must be adequately attached and/or restrained.

• Place of Performance: Salt Wells Fire Station facility, 3647 Randsburg Wash Road, suite A Ridgecrest CA. 93555.

• Period of Performance: 90 calendar days after contract award.

• Site Investigation: Contractors are expected to inspect the site before submitting a quote or proposal.

• Government-Furnished Property: No government materials, equipment, or services will be furnished. The government will provide access to facilities.

• Utilities: Water and 120V electricity are available on site. Contractor is responsible for conservation.

• Security: Contractor is responsible for safeguarding government property and facilities.

• Safety: Contractor must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local safety standards, including OSHA and "BLM SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARDS".

• Contingency Plan: Contractor must prepare and submit a Contingency Plan for potential disruptions.

• Hazardous Materials: Contractor must comply with all regulations for the use and disposal of hazardous materials and hazardous waste.

• Public Contact: Contractor personnel must present a professional appearance and provide identification. They must comply with citizenship laws and refer media inquiries to the On-Site Foreman.

• Work Hours: Regular work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding government holidays. Work outside these hours requires COR approval.

• Communications: Time for communications received after 3:00 pm on weekdays, 12:00 pm on Fridays, or before a holiday will not start until the next business day.

• Federal Holidays: Standard Federal Holidays are observed.

• Fire Danger Season: Contractor must comply with fire prevention laws if work continues during declared fire danger seasons.

• Preservation of Historical and Archeological Data: Contractor must suspend operations and notify the Contracting Officer if any historical or archeological data is discovered and protect cultural resources from damage.
