Scope of Work
The requirement is for the design, engineering, supply, delivery, installation, assembly, set-up, and training for a new crossdraft sanding booth in Building 30 at TYAD. Key specifications include:
- Dimensions: Minimum 39 feet long, 16 feet wide, and 14 feet high inside, accommodating up to four workers.
- Components: Crossdraft booth, three-stage air filtration with a fourth VOC filtration stage (HEPA Activated Carbon), front bifold door, rear roll-up door, personnel doors, interior LED lighting (100 foot-candles), central vacuum system, and compressed/breathable air connection points.
- Compliance: Must meet National Electrical Code (NEC) Standard for Class 1, Division 1 Environment due to dust explosivity test results (St 1, Weak Explosion). Electrical controls must be a minimum of Type 12 NEMA rated. Compliance with applicable OSHA, NFPA, UFC, and Local codes (Ventilation, Occupational Noise Exposure, Air Contaminants) is mandatory. Noise levels must not exceed 65 decibels outside TYAD property.
- Site Preparation: Contractor is responsible for all site preparation, including excavation, concrete work, and utility connections.
- Training & Documentation: Provision of training for operators and maintenance personnel, O&M Manuals, Parts Manuals, and CADD as-built drawings.
Period & Place of Performance
- Location: Building 30, Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD), Tobyhanna, PA 18466.
- Timeline: 360 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP) for all contractual work. Installation to commence within 5 working days of equipment delivery. Assembly, installation, and training must be completed within 120 calendar days of NTP.
Special Requirements
- Mandatory Site Visit: Required.
- Security & Compliance: Personnel require background checks and approvals. The contractor must comply with CMMC Level 2 requirements, TYAD Environmental, Safety, and Fire Standards, OSHA, NFPA, and USACE EM385-1-1.
- Environmental: Strict adherence to environmental regulations including asbestos-free materials, backflow prevention, RCRA, energy efficiency, hazardous material management, ISO 14001, and protection of natural/historic resources.
- Warranty: One-year warranty following final acceptance, including annual Preventive Maintenance and a 72-hour field repair technician response time.
