Quick Summary

The Department of the Navy, through MCB Camp Lejeune, is conducting an Invitation to Bid for the sale of approximately 45,000 pounds of scrap fired small arms cartridges (deformed). This surplus property consists of brass cartridges, .50 caliber and below. Potential buyers are encouraged to inspect the property prior to bidding. Bids are due by May 12, 2026, at 2:00pm EST.

Scope of Sale

This opportunity involves the purchase and removal of 45,000 pounds of deformed brass small arms cartridges. The material is stored in 2 cubic yard hoppers at the Material Recycling Facility, Bldg. 978, MCB Camp Lejeune, NC. Base access requires transportation personnel to obtain a one-day pass, presenting a valid driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance. A Real ID is highly preferred, or three forms of ID (e.g., Driver’s License, Passport, TWIC card, SS card, Birth Certificate) are required.
