This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Proposals are due May 26, 2026.

Scope of Work

The opportunity requires the manufacture and supply of Hex Cap Screws meeting MIL-DTL-1222 specifications, including specific configurations: Type I, Grade 500 (QQ-N-286), Solution Annealed and Age Hardened, 7/8 inch size, 2 3/4 inches length, 9 unc thread series, Class of Fit 3A, and Chamfered End. • Testing Certifications: Required for Liquid Penetrant Inspection and Ultrasonic Inspection on starting material (for QQ-N-286 items >= 4 inches diameter).
  • Specialized Testing: Slow Strain Rate Tensile Tests must be performed by approved laboratories. Wedge Tensile Tests are required for headed fasteners.
  • Traceability: Imperative for Level I/SUBSAFE systems, requiring material traceability to certification test reports via unique markings.
  • Inspection: Government Quality Assurance at source is required. Final inspection includes material sampling per ANSI/ASQ-Z1.4 (Level II) and 100% inspection of material verification, traceability, and NDT certifications.
