Statement of Work (SOW)

To provide protection from fire for building occupants and historical items within the D.C. Booth Historic House by replacing the existing, approximately 30-year-old fire suppression system, which is experiencing issues with false alarms.

• Replace the existing Fire Panel, Annunciator, Smoke Detectors, and Notification Devices.

• Add monitor modules to monitor the dry systems.

• Utilize existing conduits and raceways for the fire alarm system.

• Test and confirm a 20 amp circuit to the Fire Alarm Control Panel.

• Repair any damage to walls, including patching and painting to historical specifications.

• Remove and resistorer off existing fire alarm connections to the existing security panel.

• Demolish existing fire alarm equipment and test cabling.

• Procure all components for the replacement.

• Provide and install:

  • All cabling required by code.
  • Cell dialer with Ethernet backup and remote antenna.
  • Wired connections to sprinkler system riser and devices.
  • Silent Knight SK-6700 or similar, Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panel.
  • Silent Knight SKS 6860 or similar, LCD Remote Annunciator.
  • Silent Knight 00RA-100TR or similar, Trim Ring for 6860.
  • Starlink XT SLE-ANTEX or similar, Dual path fire/burglar LTE dual path alarm communicator.
  • Starlink XT SLE-ANTEXT75 or similar, Marine grade antennae.
  • 12 volt 7ampere-hour sealed lead-acid Batteries (3 total units).
  • Input monitor module.
  • Pull station, dual action, Silent Knight SK-PULLDA or equivalent (4 total units).
  • Photo detector with base, Silent Knight SK-PHOTO or equivalent (12 total units).
  • Heat detector with base, Silent Knight SK-Heat or equivalent (3 total units).
  • System Sensor, P2RLED L-Series or equivalent, Indoor 2-Wire LED Horn Strobe (6 total units).
  • System Sensor, P2GRKLED L-Series or equivalent, Outdoor Compact Wall-Mounted Horn Strobe.

• Provide all documentation, including testing documentation and installation drawings with termination schematics.

• Provide a one-year warranty for the system (labor and equipment).

• Place of Performance: D.C. Booth National Fish Hatchery (NFH), 423 Hatchery Circle, Spearfish, SD 57783-2643.

• Period of Performance: To be completed as soon as possible due to vulnerability to fire.

• Normal Duty Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

• Contractor must be appropriately licensed and certified within South Dakota for fire-suppression system replacement and repair.

• Must follow all associated Federal, State, and County regulations and laws.

• Government-furnished items include restrooms, electricity, and water, with limitations on proximity.

• Evaluation and Acceptance: Contingent upon designated U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service representative(s) determining the work is acceptable and the area is cleared of debris.

• Government reserves the right for quality control and assurance, including the right to inspect progress and stop work.
