- Install new piping using PVC Schedule 40 pressure-rated pipe with compatible fittings and valves for corrosive seawater environments.
- Install gravel bedding and concrete thrust blocks at changes in direction, dead ends, and valve locations.
- Ensure a burial depth of approximately 36 inches with detectable warning tape.
- Restore disturbed areas by regrading, applying topsoil, and seeding.
Special Requirements:
- Hand-digging is required within 5 feet of the geodetic control station hardware; no mechanical excavation is permitted in this sensitive zone.
- An NGS representative will monitor work in the sensitive zone.
- Contractor must submit a formal Work Plan for approval prior to mobilization.
- Five (5) business days' notice is required before commencing on-site work.
