Scope of Work
Contractors will perform hand-cutting of one-seed juniper trees and mountain mahogany, while retaining all pinyon pine trees. Work involves cutting live mature trees, saplings, and seedlings within identified polygons, adhering to specific prescriptions for cutting heights and spacing. Slash management requires cutting, lopping, and scattering slash to within 2 feet of the ground, with lengths bucked to 4-6 feet. Felled trees and slash must be kept clear of drainage bottoms, fences, and access roads. All cut areas must be GPSed, and shape files provided to the BLM.
