Quality Assurance & Packaging
Quality Assurance requirements are detailed in the Individual Repair Part Ordering Data (IRPOD). Contractors must maintain an inspection system acceptable to the Government and keep complete inspection records. Packaging requirements clarify MIL-PRF-23199, specifically regarding MIL-DTL-24466 green poly bags for cleanliness control (e.g., MIL-STD-767, MIL-STD-2041). Fire retardant packaging material is no longer required. MIL-STD 2073 packaging applies as specified elsewhere in the schedule.
Submission Requirements & Important Notes
All contractual documents, including waivers, exceptions, or alternate submittal requests, should be provided at the time of quote submission. A complete package of Vendor Certified Reports of Test and Inspection (per DI-QCIC-8872, latest revision) must be submitted to NAVSUP-WSS, Code N9433, by the End of Contract (EOC). Authorization to ship material must be obtained from the PCO. A separate package is required for each unique combination of Contract Number, National Stock Number, and Item Nomenclature. Nuclear reactor publications not available from BPMI e-commerce must be requested from the Contracting Officer, NAVSUP WSS-MECH, Code N943, with "need-to-know" certification for restricted documents.
