Scope of Work
The project involves comprehensive rehabilitation of the elevated water tank. Key tasks include:
- Removal and replacement of all interior pedestal and tank piping, valves, risers, overflow, drain lines, heat tracing, insulation, supports, and associated appurtenances.
- Removal and replacement of the interior 6-inch concrete slab, including fill, steel reinforcement, expansion materials, and appurtenances for penetrations.
- Removal and replacement of removable grating and associated angles.
- Removal and replacement of interior electrical panels (Lighting Panel, Safety Switch, Cathodic Protection Panel, Pump Control Panel) with functionally duplicate new panels.

All electrical and construction waste materials must be properly disposed of at commercially permitted facilities. Work will occur near flood mitigation and recreation areas. The existing facility is staffed 24/7 by Government personnel. The contractor must coordinate with the Contracting Officer to empty the tank during the Fall 2026/Winter 2027 or Fall 2027/2028 off-season. The Government will refill the tank around May 15, 2027, and May 15, 2028, for the recreation seasons. All work must be substantially completed by May 15, 2027, to allow the recreational area to open. Substantial completion includes installation, testing, disinfecting, and Government acceptance of all water-contacting equipment and piping.
