Scope of Work

- Manufacturing: Adherence to detailed drawings, specifications, and quality controls for welding (AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6 standards), cleaning, and deoxidizing processes.

Evaluation & Requirements
- Source Approval: New manufacturers must undergo Source Approval Request (SAR) procedures and may require a pre-award survey and post-award conference.
- First Article Testing (FAT): A critical component, requiring the delivery of one (1) unit of CAGE (05259) Part Number 578E001 within 120 calendar days of contract award. FAT includes visual, dimensional, initial and final leak tests, an 18-inch free fall drop test, and a form and fit check using a Government-provided item.
- FAT Costs: The Government estimates $10,000 for its FAT effort, which will be added to offerors' prices for evaluation. The contractor is responsible for all costs related to FAT submission, repair, and additional tests if the first article is disapproved.
- FAT Waiver: Offerors may request a waiver for FAT if they have previously supplied identical articles within three years from the same production location. Such offerors must submit two prices: one with FAT and one with the waiver.
- Production Leak Test: All production containers must pass a 100% leak test, including an 18-inch free fall drop and pneumatic pressure testing.
