Evaluation & Requirements

  • Source Approval: New manufacturers must undergo Source Approval Request (SAR) procedures and may require a pre-award survey and post-award conference.
  • First Article Testing (FAT): A critical component, requiring the delivery of one (1) unit of CAGE (05259) Part Number 578E001 within 120 calendar days of contract award. FAT includes visual, dimensional, initial and final leak tests, an 18-inch free fall drop test, and a form and fit check using a Government-provided item.
