Scope of Work
The requirement is for a Manual Blast Cabinet System, specifically for Facility 721, with detailed salient characteristics outlined in Attachment 1. Key features include:
- Blast Enclosure: #14 gauge Steel Cabinet (26"D x 36"W x 28"H) with a 20"x22" access door, 14"x22" safety-glass viewing window, 8" ergonomic glove rings, (2) 16W LED flood lamps, 1,000 lb. capacity perforated steel floor, manual blow-off gun, and pneumatic foot treadle.
- Suction Blast Media Delivery: 1 cubic foot media storage hopper, front-mounted controls with pressure regulator and gauge, general purpose filter, MH-2 long-handle blast gun with 5/16" ceramic nozzle, and SAR-2 media flow regulator.
- Media Recovery & Dust Collection: 600 cfm externally tunable cyclonic reclaimer, 8' media recovery hose, 11' dust hose, 600 cfm cartridge dust collector (CDC-6) with a 1 ½ hp blower, Minihelic Gauge, 16-gallon dust drum, and pushbutton reverse-pulse filter cleaning.
- Certifications & Standards: All electrical work must be completed by a licensed electrician and comply with the 2023 NFPA 70 National Electric Code (NEC). Electrical power requires 13 Amps at 230 volt, 60 Hz, 1 phase. Blast air requires 37 scfm clean, dry air at 80 psi with a 40°F dew point.
