This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is issued by the United States Air Force (424th SCMS) to conduct market research for the procurement of KC-135 Spares. The government is seeking information to identify potential sources and determine the best acquisition strategy, including whether the effort can be competitive or a Small Business Set-Aside. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and no contract will be awarded based on this notice.

• Procurement/manufacture of new spares for the KC-135 aircraft.

• Specific item identified by Part Number 400671-4 and NSN 1680-01-441-6921FL.

• Estimated Spares Requirement: Max Quantity 12ea, Max PR Value $791,381.52.

• Potential scope may include component parts, inspection, testing, preservation/packaging, shipping, supply chain management, logistics planning, forecasting, and addressing diminishing manufacturing sources.

• This is a new spares buy; there is no repair requirement.

• Contract type, period of performance, and estimated value are to be determined.
