Quick Summary
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) is soliciting quotations for Sleeve Bearings (Thordon brand or approved equal) to be delivered to Baltimore, MD. This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation issued under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is set aside for Total Small Business concerns. Award will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) offer. Quotations are due by April 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM EST.
Scope of Work
The requirement is for two types of sleeve bearings:
- Item 1: 20 EA of NSN 3120-21-914-2011, P/N F546150280, THORDON COMPACT SHAFT BEARING (semi-finished to suit 128.27mm OD x 103.84mm ID x 290mm length).
- Item 2: 30 EA of NSN 3120-21-914-2012, P/N F546150281, THORDON PROPULSION SHAFT, SLEEVE TYPE, GRADE ORANGE (134.9 OD x 95.5 ID x 225 MM long compact).
Both items require strict quality assurance, including a complete dimensional inspection witnessed by a Coast Guard Quality Assurance Representative, and compliance with OEM specifications for materials. Crucially, standard commercial packaging is unacceptable. Each bearing must be individually packed in a wooden box providing protection during multiple shipments and long-term storage, marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129R (except bar-coded IAW ISO/IEC-16388-2007, Code 39 Symbology). Failure to meet packaging requirements will result in rejection.
