Purpose & Scope
NIST seeks a mobile cooling solution to ensure the health and safety of its work crews during prolonged maintenance and repair services in Steam Manholes. The required unit is a self-contained, trailer-mounted system housing a 5-ton HVAC unit to supply cold air. All components must be new; prototypes, demonstration models, used, or refurbished equipment are not accepted.

- Trailer: 7' x 12' bumper pull utility trailer, DOT certified, 2,990 lbs GVWR.
- HVAC Unit: 5-ton, single-packaged heat pump system.
- Generator: Kubota GL14000 or similar, 12 kVA diesel generator.
