Required Qualifications

The Social Worker must possess:

  • An advanced degree (Master's or higher) in Social Work.
  • An active School Personnel Licensure (Level One Pre K-12) from New Mexico.
  • Certification as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) by the New Mexico Board of Social Work Examiners.
  • A minimum of one year of experience providing school-based social work services.
  • Preferred experience includes working on Native American reservations, with BIE-funded schools, or with Native American students in New Mexico.
  • Successful completion and maintenance of a BIE background check clearance, eligibility for a suitability determination, and U.S. citizenship.

  • Period of Performance: Base Year (April 1, 2026 - March 31, 2027) with four Option Years.
