Scope of Work
The requirement is for two volumetric dry screw feeder systems designed for soda ash at a rate of 5-10 lbs. per hour. Each system includes a Series 32-055 Volumetric Screw Feeder and a 35-gallon rectangular stainless steel solution mixing tank with a cover. The systems must provide automated dosing and are intended to replace aging and worn existing mixers.
Key Requirements
- Feeder System: 1-1/2" stainless steel feed screw, low-speed gearbox (0.60 cu. ft./hr. max), 1/6 cu. ft. stainless steel inlet hopper with agitation and cover, 1/6 HP DC motor, and a panel-mounted NEMA 12 control unit with digital display.
- Mixing Tank: 35-gallon rectangular stainless steel tank with cover, feeder mounting part, dust arrestor with water line/spray nozzle, and a 1/4 HP mechanical mixer with jet agitator.

- Operational Preferences: Manual cover and direct pouring of 50 lbs. bags into the hopper are acceptable. Electronic low-level controls with "Refill Required" indicators are preferred over basic tubular gauges. 3/4" fittings for water inlet/outlet/overflow and various sized drain fittings are preferred for the mix tank. Electrical solenoid actuated valves are desired.
