Sole Source Justification
This procurement is being conducted on a sole source basis with DATRON USA, INC. (CAGE Code 7CRQ0) because they are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the DATRON Neo plus Pro CNC machine. The machine is required for compatibility and interoperability with existing equipment, processes, and software configurations established for SPY-6 depot operations. Purchasing directly from the OEM ensures comprehensive operational training and engineering support. Acquiring a different CNC machine would incur over $70,000 in reconfiguration costs, require complete re-engineering of established repair procedures, extensive retraining, and cause delays of one to three months for active engineering projects and SPY-6 fleet support schedules.
