Justification for Sole Source
The sole source award to Workplace Modular Systems LLC. is justified due to the existing infrastructure and specialized requirements. NATSC has exclusively purchased benches from this vendor since 2013, and their custom-built ESD benches integrate seamlessly with existing equipment, can be reconfigured, and have proven durability against harsh chemicals. Introducing a new brand would incur significant additional costs and downtime for first article testing, facility alterations, and procurement of new jigs, tools, and fixtures, making it not cost-effective.
Additional Notes
Payment will be processed via the Procurement Integrity Enterprise Environment (PIEE). An active registration with the System for Award Management (SAM) is required prior to award.
