Sources Sought Notice
This notice is for market research purposes to identify potential vendors capable of providing Highly Accelerated Stress Test (HAST) chambers. NIST is seeking information on commercial vendors that can supply one or both types of specified HAST chambers. This is not a solicitation, and no contract will be awarded based on this notice.
NIST intends to purchase two (2) HAST chambers. Vendors must indicate which of the following types they can provide:
HAST Chamber 1 Specifications:
- Simultaneous application of high temperature, high humidity, and high pressure.
- Minimum interior volume: 21 liters.
- Minimum interior space: 11.5 inch x 11.6 inch (diameter x depth).
- Temperature range: 105 °C to 162 °C.
- Humidity control range: 75 - 100 % RH.
- Pressure range: 0.020 - 0.392 MPa.
- Standard Bias Pins: 12 terminals.
- Touch-screen controller with Ethernet interface.
- Safety features including overheat and over-pressure protectors, door lock mechanism, and emergency stop.
- One onsite startup training for up to five people.
HAST Chamber 2 Specifications:
- Must accommodate multiple samples up to 300 mm in diameter.
- Minimum of two shelves (excluding bottom shelf).
- Minimum interior volume: 21 L.
- Temperature range: 105 °C to 142 °C.
- Pressure range: 0.020 MPa to 0.392 MPa.
- Humidity range: 75% RH to 100% RH.
- Built-in water supply tank.
- Must comply with JESD22A11E standard testing, including terminal bias panel.
- Terminal bias panel must be located on oven side for wire access.
- Provide current and bias limits for in-situ bias application.
Vendors should submit responses via email to the Primary Point of Contact. Responses should include company information, details of the equipment offered, performance capabilities, any limitations in meeting specifications, suggestions for improvement, manufacturing origin, and small business status. Responses are due by the closing date and time specified in the notice.
Vendors must indicate if they are a small business or other than small business. NIST is also interested in alternative NAICS codes if the listed one (334515 – Semiconductor test equipment manufacturing) is not appropriate.
- Responses should not exceed a specified page limit (indicated as [Add number of pages]).
- Do not provide proprietary information.
- To be considered for a future award, entities must be registered and "active" in SAM.gov.
- NIST reserves the right to use the information provided for any purpose deemed necessary.
