Quick Summary
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime is conducting a Sources Sought for Control, Gyroscope, Attitude-Heading (NSNs 6615-012444250 and 6615-012444249). This market research aims to identify potential manufacturers for a future Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC). Responses are due by February 16, 2026.
Purpose & Scope
This is a market survey, not a request for quote or proposal, to gather information for a potential IDC for items with recurring demands. The items are:
- NSN 6615-012444250, Part Number 478711-02
- NSN 6615-012444249, Part Number 478712-02 The current approved source for both is BAE Systems Controls, Inc. (CAGE 89954).
Contract Details
The potential IDC is envisioned with a typical one to three-year base period and two four-year option periods. The Acquisition Method Code (AMC) "3C" indicates that these parts require engineering source approval by the design control activity due to existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge held by the qualified source(s). Data rights or technical knowledge are not economically available to the Government.
Information Requested
DLA seeks information from potential suppliers to generate a realistic solicitation. Key areas include:
- Company details (manufacturer/dealer, size, CAGE code)
- Commerciality of the item and sales history
- Pricing information and requirements for Information Other Than Cost or Pricing Data
- Interest in pursuing an IDC and agreement on contract structure
- Delivery capabilities (maximum/minimum quantity, best delivery time)
Becoming an Approved Source
Companies wishing to become an "Approved Source" must submit an application package through the DLA Weapons Support Alternate Offer/Source Approval Request (SAR) Program. This package must demonstrate the ability to manufacture the product to the same or better quality than the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Further details are available on the DLA Weapons Support website.
