Scope of Work
The required services involve providing Curator support to the U.S. Navy Seabee Museum. Key tasks include:
- Assisting with the inventory of approximately 17,000 objects in the USNSM artifact collection.
- Unpacking storage boxes, cataloging items, and photographing each artifact.
- Repacking items using industry commercial practices.
- Performing routine work and special assignments, including training on new techniques.
- Working effectively with museum staff and visitors.
Key Requirements
Contractor personnel must be U.S. Citizens and possess expert-level working knowledge in:
- Digital photography, Adobe Photoshop Elements, and Acrobat Professional.
- Communication (verbal and written), teamwork, and independent work.
- Museum collection management standards and best practices, including digital asset management. Physical ability for walking, climbing ladders, standing, bending, stooping, and carrying objects up to 50 pounds is also required. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary direct labor, supervision, management, and materials/equipment, with the government providing working space and essential office equipment.
