Companies interested in becoming an "Approved Source" for this item are invited to submit an application package through the Source Approval Request (SAR) Program. The attached "Aviation Source Approval and Management Handbook JACG SAM HB 03-16-11.pdf" provides detailed guidance on the SAR process, including documentation requirements to demonstrate manufacturing capability and quality standards. The onus is on the contractor to prove their product is equal to or better than the currently approved item.
