Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control to perform comprehensive services for fire alarm and life safety systems in buildings 3376, 3382 (Main & Annex), 3380, 3379, 3392, and 3417. Key tasks include:
- Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP): Address trouble/disable statuses, replace, program, and test FACPs.
- Transmitter & Antenna: Resolve communication issues, replace, program, and test components.
- System Components: Replace and test batteries, heat detectors, wiring, and sensors.
- Fire Suppression System: Repair drain failures on a fire suppression riser.
- Special Systems: Program and test a new walk-in refrigerator alarm system.
- Inspection and Reporting: Conduct annual inspections per NFPA 72 standards and submit detailed reports.
- Documentation: Provide pre-work submittals (e.g., material lists, safety plans) and post-work closeout documents (e.g., O&M manuals, as-built drawings).

Required Capabilities
Interested parties must demonstrate experience in the assessment, repair, and certification of complex fire alarm and suppression systems. All technical personnel must meet State of Hawaii's minimum licensing and certification requirements for Fire Alarm system technicians. A NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) certification in Fire Alarm Systems is highly desirable.
