Purpose & Scope of Work
The objective is to ensure Buckley SFB firefighters meet proficiency requirements for aircraft rescue and firefighting duties. The contractor will provide a MAFT capable of simulating at least six specific LPG remote-controlled fires (cockpit, engine intake, wing fuel tank, nose landing gear, afterburner, main wheel/brake). Training will consist of semi-annual, 5-day sessions (8 hours/day), typically held between April/May and September/October. Each period includes five two-hour classroom sessions and five practical/hands-on training evolutions. All training must comply with NFPA 405, FAA, DoD, and Air Force Fire Emergency Services Training Program requirements. The contractor is responsible for delivering, setting up, and ensuring the MAFT is operational, and providing all necessary fuel (LPG), extinguishing infrastructure, and materials.
Contract Details
