Purpose & Requirements
This RFI seeks information on a portable, versatile, modular, and rugged test solution for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks. The required system must include:
- A modular mainframe (battery-powered, minimum four slots, minimum 128 GB internal flash, no integrated Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/RF).
- One quad-wavelength OTDR module (850/1300 nm and 1310/1550 nm) with intelligent link mapping and pass/fail diagnosis.
- One optical test module capable of measuring both Chromatic Dispersion (CD) and Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD).
- All optical test ports must feature modular interfaces for tool-free connector adapter swapping.
- The system must include a fiber optic loopback mirror (UPC polish connector) and be delivered in a single, hard-sided transit case.
