Scope of Work
NIST is seeking a contractor to replace multiple cooling and heating coils in Building 227, which are beyond their expected lifespan, to ensure the HVAC system maintains temperature setpoints. The scope includes:
- Cooling Coils: Replacement of 4 cooling water coils in air handling unit AHU-1-1 and associated piping.
- Heating Coils: Replacement of 36 heating hot water coils across multiple air handling units (AHU-1-1, AHU-1-2, AHU-2-1, AHU-2-2, AHU-3-1, AHU-3-2, AHU-4-1, AHU-4-2, AHU-6-1, AHU-6-2, AHU-7-1, AHU-7-2).
- Ancillary Work: Replacement of associated piping connections, insulation, field verifications, and air/water system testing and balancing.
- Compliance: All work must adhere to Federal, State, Local requirements, IBC, ASHRAE Design Guide, and other applicable codes.

- Validation of company size status under NAICS 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Bldg. Construction).
- Suggestions for improving the draft SOW and suggested evaluation factors.
- Standard commercial pricing information (if available) and an optional estimate for SOW requirements.
- Details on the company's safety program, compliance with DOT/other regulations, and ability to complete SOW tasks.

The contractor will need to provide a Prime Contractor Superintendent on-site at all times work is performed.
