This notice is issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to conduct market research and identify potential sources for metrology-grade chilled mirror dew point hygrometers. The goal is to improve and monitor uncertainty contributions from laboratory environmental conditions in NIST's mass calibrations, thereby enhancing domestic and international measurement competitiveness.

NIST is seeking information on solutions that meet the following essential requirements for metrology-grade chilled mirror dew point hygrometers:

• Type: Benchtop, chilled-mirror hygrometer capable of internal % relative humidity calculation.
• Temperature Probe: External, proven design and capability.
• Performance History: Must have a past performance history of successfully manufacturing this type of equipment.
• Measurement Ranges:
  • Standard dew point: -60°C to 20°C
  • Standard % Relative humidity: 0.1% to 100% (with temperature range of -100°C to 100°C)
• Accuracy:
  • Frost/dew point: +/-0.1 °C
  • Temperature: +/-0.07 °C
• Reproducibility:
  • Frost/dew point: +/-0.05 °C
  • Temperature: +/-0.05 °C
• Components: External temperature sensor (preferably PRT-100), 3-stage thermoelectric mirror cooling (80°C depression), Active-Matrix color graphic LCD display, RS-232 I/O communication, Swagelok ¼" gas coupling.
• Gas Handling: Sample gas flow rate of 0.2-1.0 l/min, PTFE sample gas circuit, maximum pressure of 2 bar.
• Environmental: Operates and stores between -10°C and +40°C; 90% RH maximum ambient humidity (non-condensing).
• Power: 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz; 200 Watt power consumption.
• Physical: Dimensions 440mm x 155mm x 410mm (W x H x D); approximately 12 kg weight.

Respondents should NOT provide proprietary information. Responses should be submitted via email and include:

• Company name, address, contact information, and SAM.gov UEI (if active).
• Identification of equipment meeting NIST's requirements, including manufacturer, model, and technical specifications.
• Description of performance capabilities and any features that assist NIST's objectives.
• Information on customization capabilities and limitations.
• Identification of any draft minimum specifications that cannot be met and suggestions for improvement.
• Indication of whether the equipment is manufactured in the United States.
• Details on manufacturing location changes.
• NAICS code assessment (small/other than small business status, alternative NAICS suggestions).
• Description of available services (installation, training, maintenance).
• Standard terms and conditions of sale (delivery time, FOB, warranty, extended warranty, setup, etc.).
• Information on facility renovation services.
• Published pricing, discounts, or rebates.
• Identification of existing Federal Supply Schedule or other contract vehicles.
• List of public/private sector customers for similar equipment.
• Any other valuable market research information.
• Request for additional information or meeting with NIST.

Respondents must indicate if they are a small business or other than small business. Suggestions for alternative NAICS codes are requested.
