Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide labor, equipment, and materials for the repair of exhaust systems and replacement of equipment at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, AL.

• Repair HVAC ventilation hoods, ducts, and exhaust fans, and make-up air units.

• Specific tasks include:

  • Installing exhaust fan hinge kits at Burger King, Riverfront Inn, Maxwell Club, and Youth Center.
  • Installing handles and hinges for exhaust system access at Maxwell Club.
  • Replacing an unsafe electrical disconnect at the Bowling Alley.
  • Rewiring a fan motor at Pots & Pans.
  • Rebuilding ductwork at Qdoba to improve laminar flow and prevent grease buildup.
  • Replacing a damaged fan at Charley's.
  • Addressing a hood size issue at Popeye's to ensure adequate exhaust rates and mitigate fire hazards.
  • Replacing an unsafe disconnect at Aviator (Gunter Annex).
  • Replacing an exhaust fan hinge kit at CDC (Gunter Annex).

• All work must meet state, federal codes, and comply with OSHA standards.

• Disturbed areas must be restored to an "as found" condition.

• Maintain a clear, hazard-free, safe workplace.

• Clean up the work site daily.

• Location: Maxwell AFB and Gunter Annex, Montgomery, AL.

• Contract Duration: 160 calendar days.

• Work Hours: Normal working hours (6:00 AM - 5:00 PM), Monday-Friday, unless otherwise coordinated.

• Compliance with environmental regulations (asbestos, lead-based paint, refrigerants, hazardous materials, stormwater BMPs).

• Site investigation required.

• Submission of AF Form 3000 (Material Submittal Approval) with descriptive data.

• Submission of Equipment Operating, Maintenance, and Repair Manuals.

• Adherence to fire regulations (NFPA 241, EM 385-1-1, Maxwell AFB Instruction 32-2005).

• Protection of existing landscape, government property, and personnel.

• Security requirements for unclassified contracts, including employee listing and identification.

• Required insurance: Workmen's Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile Liability.

• Contractor must provide manufacturer warranties.

• Obtain an approved Construction Permit (AF Form 103) before excavating.

• Use of Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCIs) where required.

• Final cleaning and closeout procedures.
