Scope of Work
The project seeks firms with expertise in nonstructural risk management, including property elevations, levees, floodwalls, door dams, and other floodproofing measures to protect against tidal surge and waves from tropical storms. Key capabilities requested include:
- Experience with Louisiana Building codes, ICC Codes, ASCE 7-22, and ASCE 24-24 standards.
- Managing and executing projects involving both design and construction of nonstructural solutions in coastal SW Louisiana.
- Applying governing codes to engineering design of floodproofing measures.
- Experience with historic properties, including elevation and compliance with Louisiana SHPO guidelines.
- Working around Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) without disturbance.
- Coordinating large teams of subcontractors across design and construction disciplines.
- Familiarity with USACE contractual requirements, including plans, specifications, design documentation, construction management, and safety.
- Specific technical experience in concrete slab elevations, Ground Penetrating Radar, concrete slab separations, dry floodproofing, project scheduling, and structural analysis (hand calculations/FEA).
- Experience elevating structures in Southwest Louisiana and minimizing homeowner displacement time.
