SPECIAL NOTICE/SOLE SOURCE
The Billings Area Indian Health Service hereby submits a notice of intent to award a commercial, sole source, firm fixed price contract for Fire Suppression Monitoring and Pump Inspections to Ostlunds Fire Protection Inc., 685 Highway 312, Huntley, MT 59037. Period of Performance will be from January 15, 2026 through January 14, 2027.
The company shall provide Annual Fire Sprinkler and Fire Alarm Monitoring and Pump Inspections for Crow Service Unit at Crow/Northern Cheyenne Hospital, Crow Agency MT, Lodge Grass Health Clinic, Lodge Grass MT and Pryor Health Clinic, Pryor MT. The total estimated value of the Contract is estimated to be around $33,442.50; This sole source contracting action is pursuing a waiver from competing this requirement based upon the application of FAR 6.103-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements and is based upon market research.
Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of agency standardization, data center standardization, and network security;
The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
