Key Requirements for Specialty Hospital Beds
The required beds must possess the following capabilities:
- Patient rotation up to 62 degrees to either side.
- Ability to be placed in Trendelenburg (feet up) and reverse Trendelenburg (head up) positions.
- Provision of medical-grade specialty/therapy beds with various accessories, including side rails, grab bars, and bed alarms.
- Features that improve oxygenation, particularly in the prone position, by allowing better expansion of the upper lung lobes.
