Purpose of Sources Sought
This announcement serves as market research (FAR Part 10) to determine the interest and capability of potential sources for the carpet replacement project. The information gathered will help the Government determine the appropriate procurement method. This notice does not commit the Government to any future action or contract award.
Scope of Work
The requirement involves the removal and replacement of approximately 4,370 square feet of carpet on the first floor of Building 122 at PSFB. Key tasks include:
- Coordination with 21st Civil Engineering Squadron (21 CES) for bio-environmental screening.
- Removal of existing carpet and rubber cove base, with daily site clean-up and off-site debris disposal.
- Relocation and repositioning of standard furniture (IT cables and personal items to be removed by Government).
- Installation of new, commercial-grade modular carpet tiles or planks over existing vinyl flooring using low-VOC adhesives.
- Installation of new vinyl cove base and trimming door bottoms for proper clearance.
- Necessary wall spackling and painting to repair damage from baseboard removal.
- Compliance with federal, state, local, OSHA, and AFOSH standards, including the use of recycled/environmentally preferable products.
- Contractor must have at least 5 years of experience in commercial carpet replacement or be certified/manufacturer-approved installers, and be licensed in Colorado.
