Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and supervision necessary to perform the inspection and replacement of carpet in the Airfield and Weather Flights at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado.

• Removal and disposal of existing carpet and rubber cove base.

• Installation of new carpet tiles (24x24 inch square or 9x36 inch plank style) meeting specific density, wear, and adhesive requirements. Carpet color and pattern to be approved by the government.

• Installation of new 4" x 1/8" vinyl cove base in approved colors (charcoal, navy, dark blue, dark gray, or black).

• Moving and replacing furniture. Cutting carpet to fit around permanently secured furniture and trimming doors as needed.

• Coordination with Base Civil Engineer (BCE) personnel and government representatives for staging areas, work schedules, and inspections.

• Daily site clean-up and final site restoration.

• Disposal of all waste and debris according to applicable regulations.

• Testing for and abatement of lead and asbestos if encountered.

• Work must conform to federal, state, local requirements, OSHA, AFOSH standards, and applicable manufacturer standards.

• Use of recycled, bio-based, energy/water saving, and environmentally preferable products is required.

• Contractor must submit a practicable schedule within five days of work commencement.

• Quality assurance acceptance inspection will be performed by 21 CES Operations Flight personnel.
