Purpose
This is a Sources Sought notice, not a solicitation, issued by the 42d Contracting Squadron. Its primary purpose is market research to determine available industry capabilities for the stained glass restoration requirement outlined in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The Government will use the feedback to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy. No proposals are being requested, and no contract will be awarded from this notice.
Scope of Work
The project involves the restoration of stained glass installations at the Maxwell AFB Chapel facilities, specifically Grace Chapel and Faith Chapel. The work includes:
- Grace Chapel: Removal of existing exterior protective glass, scraping and preparation of steel frames (exterior and interior), cleaning of stained glass, re-painting frames, re-installation of protective glass covers and caulking, and re-glazing where needed.
- Faith Chapel: Cleaning of existing stained glass on the front large window and two backside windows, installation of a ¼” clear Low-E tempered glass protective layer, installation of ½” aluminum stops, and caulking for weather and temperature management. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, equipment, and materials.
