Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for the Standardization of DAF Generators across all U.S. Air Force installations. This RFI seeks industry feedback on a proposed brand-name Class Justification and Approval (J&A) to standardize facility generators and components. This is for planning purposes only and is NOT a solicitation. Responses are due by April 17, 2026.
Purpose & Scope
This RFI aims to gather feedback from interested parties regarding a proposed brand-name Class J&A for the standardization of Facility Generators and their associated components across all U.S. Air Force (USAF) installations, both within and outside the contiguous United States. The objective is to allow each installation to select a standard brand based on its existing inventory for new or replacement generators and components. The USAF plans to renew an existing Class J&A (originally approved in December 2021 for five years) for another five years (FY27-FY32) to support this standardization through natural attrition.
Key Information for Responders
