To remove the existing 40 kW, 120V/240V, three-phase standby diesel generator system and replace it with a new generator system of equivalent specifications. This includes upgrading the Automatic Bypass Transfer Switch (ABT), ensuring proper exhaust and ventilation, and renewing fuel system piping and accessories.

• Generator & Electrical: Removal and disposal of the existing 40 kW generator and ABT. Supply and installation of a new generator and ABT assembly with programmable automatic start and weekly self-test functionality. Mounting the new generator on a suitable pad and connecting it to existing electrical wiring.

• Fuel System: Reuse existing fuel lines if serviceable and compliant with local code. Inspect lines, fittings, and day tank for leaks. Install a new serviceable inline fuel filter and water separator.

• Exhaust: Install new exhaust piping as needed, heat wrap all exhaust components inside the building, and extend piping to exterior wall/roof with weatherproof termination.

• Ventilation: Inspect existing generator room ventilation and provide upgrades if airflow is insufficient. Confirm proper intake and discharge ventilation.

• Testing & Commissioning: Perform complete start-up and load testing, verify ABT transfer function, confirm generator self-test scheduling, verify fuel filter/water separator operation, and confirm building ventilation performance. Provide a commissioning report with all test results.

• One (1) fully installed and commissioned standby diesel generator system equivalent to current specifications.

• Regional Materials: Contractor shall attempt to maximize procurement of materials within a 250-mile radius.

• Safety: Contractor shall conform to OSHA rules and regulations, provide barriers, fencing, and trench covers as needed.

• Protected Work Environment: Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, prevent introduction of chemical or biological contaminants, and comply with health agency instructions.

• Construction Inspection: Contractor is responsible for maintaining an adequate inspection system and performing inspections to ensure contract compliance.

• Temporary Facilities: Contractor must provide their own sanitary facilities. Water and 120V electricity are available at no cost, but connection/disconnection costs are the contractor's responsibility. No telephone service is available. Contractor is responsible for repairing any damaged utilities.
