Quality Assurance & Evaluation

• Quality System: Contractors must maintain a quality system in accordance with ISO-9001, ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3 with ISO-17025, or MIL-I-45208.
• Traceability: Strict traceability from material to certification test reports is required for all Level I/SUBSAFE materials, including unique traceability numbers and permanent marking.
• Inspections: Contractor inspection records, subcontractor inspection requirements, and final inspection procedures (including material sampling per ANSI/ASQ-Z1.4 or SPC) are detailed.
• Certifications: Comprehensive material certification test reports are required, including chemical and mechanical analysis, and must be submitted via Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for review and acceptance prior to shipment. Electronic signatures are acceptable under specific controls.
• Evaluation: Past performance will be considered in the evaluation of offers (IAW FAR 13.106(a)(2)).
