Statement of Work (SOW)

To construct a new gravel parking pad and two new sections of gravel road at the Stockbridge testing annex.

• Construct a new 8-inch-deep gravel parking pad for 20 cars east of building 1426.

• Construct two new 8-inch-deep gravel road sections connecting the existing site gravel road to pad 22.

• Include an additional 8-inch-deep gravel pad for transition at the pad 22 access road.

• Strip topsoil to achieve the proposed 8-inch compacted depth for the parking pad.

• Install NYSDOT item 304.12 Subbase course with 8-inch compacted depth.

• Parking pad to include 15-inch shoulders with a maximum 1:3 slope.

• Geotextile must conform to NYSDOT Standard Specifications section 207 and be US Fabrics US 200, or equal, meeting or exceeding Class 1 strength requirements.

• Contractor is responsible for ensuring adequate moisture content for subgrade and base course material compaction.

• Restore all surfaces, including pavement, trees, vegetation, fences, posts, utilities, and lawn areas.

• Install topsoil and seed all disturbed lawn areas with guaranteed growth for 1 year.

• Work to be performed during duty hours: Monday through Friday, 0600 to 1800 hours.

• Non-duty hour work requires coordination with RRS Security Forces.

• Location: Stockbridge testing annex.

• Air Force Form 103, Base Civil Engineering Work Clearance Request, must be completed.

• Contractor must verify existing underground utilities prior to excavation.

• Submit a construction schedule for approval by AFRL Civil Engineering before starting construction.

• Contractor will be shown the location to dump topsoil spoils.

• Remove all debris and materials from the site following completion, with all items located a minimum of 80 feet (25 meters) from any structure or building.

• Subbase Course: NYSDOT approved supplier certification.

• Geotextile: Manufacturer's data sheet.

• Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
