Scope of Work

- K-MONEL Fasteners: Must be heat-treated per QQ-N-286, with solution annealing and age hardening post-heading/thread rolling. Mechanical properties determined per MIL-DTL-1222, including Axial Tensile tests for studs.
- Thread Inspection: Adherence to FED-STD-H28 series.
- Traceability: Maintenance of unique traceability numbers (heat-lot, heat-treat) from material to certification reports, with permanent marking on items.
- Mercury Free: Material must be mercury-free.
Quality Assurance & Control
This procurement involves rigorous quality assurance:
- Quality System: Contractors must maintain a quality system compliant with ISO-9001 (amplified herein) and calibration systems per ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3 with ISO-17025. MIL-I-45208 with MIL-STD-45662 is an acceptable alternative.
