Scope of Work

The material must meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-1222, with specific amplifications and modifications detailed in the solicitation. The unit of issue is EACH, and one additional fastener per heat/lot with complete traceability is required.
Quality Assurance & Certification
Contractors must provide and maintain a quality system in accordance with ISO-9001 (or MIL-I-45208 as an alternate) and calibration system requirements of ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3 with ISO-17025 (or MIL-STD-45662 as an alternate). The material is subject to Government Quality Assurance at source (DCMA QAR). Strict traceability from material to certification test reports is mandatory, including unique traceability numbers and chemical/mechanical analysis per MIL-DTL-1222. Certifications for Liquid Penetrant Inspection are required. All material must be mercury-free.

Evaluation & Submission
NAVSUP WSS Mechanicsburg will consider past performance in the evaluation of offers, in accordance with FAR 13.106(a)(2). Certification data must be submitted to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard via Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) for review and acceptance prior to each shipment. Specific WAWF "Ship to," "Inspect by," and "Accept by" codes (N50286, N39040, N39040 respectively) and an email notification address (PORT_PTNH_WAWF_Notification@navy.mil) are provided. No material is to be shipped without prior acceptance.

This requirement is pursuant to Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities (EAF) and will result in a "DO" rated order under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS).
