Scope of Work
The contract requires the development and integration of an Alignment Monitoring System (AMS) for the Super – High Energy Replicated Optics (SuperHERO) program, a balloon-borne, hard-X-ray observatory. Key activities include:
- Developing and testing the AMS, including camera selection.
- Designing and mounting an LED pattern to detector entrance windows.
- Developing image analysis code and integrating it with SuperHERO flight software.
- Providing eight complete AMS units for payload integration and one additional unit for mass models.
- Assisting with system integration at MSFC.
- Supporting payload integration at WFF and Fort Sumner, New Mexico.
- Supporting flight operations and the analysis/publication of observational results.
