This is a Special Notice for market research purposes, allowing other interested organizations to submit their capabilities to perform this effort. The procurement will utilize procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334516.
Scope of Requirement
Kennedy Space Center requires one (1) TA Instruments Discovery DSC 2500 Differential Scanning Calorimeter as a direct, updated replacement for an existing, non-functional, and unsupported unit. Key features include a Fusion Cell, Tzero technology, app-style touchscreen, linear autosampler, Modulated DSC® (MDSC®), and TRIOS software. The unit must have a maximum operating temperature of 725 °C, extendable to -180 °C with liquid nitrogen cooling or -120 °C with a refrigerated cooling system, and be compatible with Windows 7 and greater operating systems. A five-year warranty on DSC cells is required.
