Scope of Work
The requirement is for the manufacture of a 1/2 inch TailPiece in accordance with Buships drawing 1385884, Piece 6, using MIL-C-24679, alloy C71500 material. Key requirements include:
- Testing & Inspection: Non-Destructive Tests for weld repair/production weld, and inspection of O-ring grooves/sealing surfaces.
- Welding/Brazing: Must adhere to specified military standards (S9074-AR-GIB-010A/278, 0900-LP-001-7000, or S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248), with procedures and qualification data submitted for approval.
- Quality Assurance: Contractors must maintain a quality system compliant with ISO-9001 (with ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3/ISO-17025 for calibration) or MIL-I-45208 (with MIL-STD-45662 for calibration). Government Quality Assurance at source (DCMA) will be performed.
- Traceability & Certification: Strict traceability and certification are required for all Level I/SUBSAFE materials, including chemical/mechanical analysis and electronic signatures on certification documents (DI-MISC-80678, DI-MISC-81020).
- Configuration Control: Procedures for Waivers/Deviations and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) must be followed.
- Mercury-Free: Hardware and supplies must be mercury-free.
