Scope of Work
NHTSA seeks a modernized, cloud-native (AWS) application and a secure web-based interface to streamline the lifecycle of Takata airbag recall data management. The objective is to acquire expert consulting services for managing a Tableau-based data-reporting and data-visualization platform specifically tailored to the Takata recalls. Key tasks include:
- Managing data intake and visualization from vehicle manufacturer submissions related to Takata recalls (e.g., completion percentages, repair activity, unrepaired inflators by ZIP code).
- Implementing quality-control processes and data analyses, providing reports via a web-based portal for owner outreach and earned-media campaigns.
- Utilizing the Tableau platform for data analysis and segmentation of vehicle owner populations (demographic and geographic) to inform outreach strategies.
- Participating in regular project meetings, including a kick-off meeting and bi-monthly status meetings.
- Providing project management, work plans, and bi-monthly progress reports.
- Ensuring the solution complies with Federal and DOT security requirements, including FIPS 140-2 for data access.

Submission Requirements
