Scope of Work
The contractor will provide comprehensive tank and bilge cleaning services, Marine Chemist services, and power washing of underwater hulls. Key tasks include:
- Tank and Bilge Cleaning: Vacuuming liquids and cleaning various tanks (Diesel Oil, Void, JP-5 Fuel, Ballast Water, Sewage Effluent) and bilges (Engine Room, Thruster Room, Pump Room). Tanks and bilges must be cleaned to specific "Gas Free" conditions (Condition Code B), requiring certification for personnel and hot work safety.
- Marine Chemist Services: Inspection and certification of tanks, bilges, and compartments as "Atmosphere Safe for Workers" and/or "Safe for Hot Work" per NFPA 306.
- Power Washing Underwater Hulls: Cleaning hulls and appendages, including barnacle removal, with required containment. Cleaning must commence within four hours of dry-docking and be completed within 24 hours to Condition "A" cleanliness.
