Statement of Work (SOW)

To replace the existing wood siding on two buildings at the Tatanka Hotshots Base with durable steel siding, and to replace exterior light fixtures with LED fixtures.

• Removal of existing wood siding, soffits, fascia, and trim from two buildings.

• Removal and replacement of the underlying weather barrier.

• Installation of new insulation to enhance energy efficiency.

• Installation of new steel siding, soffits, fascia, and trim.

• Replacement of exterior mounted light fixtures and controls with LED fixtures.

• Minor painting of metal exterior doors.

• The project includes the Tatanka Hotshots Quarters (6,300 gsf) and the Tatanka Hotshots Pumphouse (332 gsf).

• Location: Tatanka Hotshots Base, 12266 Tatanka Drive, Custer, South Dakota, 57730.

• Access to the site is open year-round.

• The buildings will be occupied by Government Personnel during the period of performance.

• Contractor must supply all labor, materials, equipment, utilities, and freight.

• A licensed electrician is required for electrical work.

• Work is restricted during holidays, weekends, and between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM unless approved.

• Contractor must provide safety measures, temporary sanitary facilities, and telephone service.

• Use of existing government water and electric services is permitted if maintained.

• Compliance with NFPA 241 and fire protection requirements is mandatory.

• All electronic information provided must comply with Section 508 accessibility standards.

• Deliverables include submittals prior to work, Accident Prevention Plan, Quality Control Plan, Construction Schedule, and Operations and Maintenance Manuals.

• A Project Supervisor/Superintendent must be on-site daily.

• No Government Furnished Materials are included in this project.
