Quality Assurance & Submission Requirements

  • Certifications: Required for compliance, tests (CDRL DI-MISC-80678), and material (CDRL DI-MISC-81020), including quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis. Electronic signatures are accepted under controlled conditions.
  • Traceability: Maintained from material to certification test reports using unique traceability numbers, heat-lot numbers, or heat-treat numbers, marked per MIL-STD-792.
  • Inspection: Government Quality Assurance at source is required. This includes receiving inspection, subcontractor inspection, and final inspection with material sampling (ANSI/ASQ-Z1.4, Level II, zero defects). 100% inspection for material verification, traceability, and NDT certifications.
  • WAWF Submissions: Certification data and Radiographic Shooting Sketches (RSS) must be submitted via Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (Ship to N50286, Inspect by N39040, Accept by N39040, email PORT_PTNH_WAWF_Notification@navy.mil). RSS must be submitted within 45 days after contract award, prior to radiography.
