Quick Summary

The General Services Administration (GSA), Office of Fleet Management, is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Synopsis for Telematics Installation Support in Japan. This is to identify qualified vendors capable of installing telematics devices on various vehicles at private and military locations across the country. Responses are due by June 17, 2026, 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Scope of Work

The requirement is for the installation of telematics devices on a diverse range of vehicles, including sedans, light/medium/heavy-duty trucks, buses, and specialty vehicles. Services include both onsite installation at government/private facilities and pre-delivery installation at supplier-designated sites throughout Japan. The scope covers all Japanese regions, including Okinawa, Kyushu, Honshu South, Honshu Central, Honshu North, and Hokkaido (customer location TBD). This opportunity does not include the procurement of telematics devices or telematics services themselves.

Operating Constraints & Requirements

Installations must not void Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) warranties or interfere with On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) ports. Contractors are responsible for device security, storage, inventory management, and installation in accordance with GSA guidance. All costs, including travel, must be incorporated into the Firm Fixed Price, as GSA will not reimburse separate travel expenses.
