Project Scope
The objective is to replace the aging excitation systems, including Power Potential Transformers (PPTs), for two generating units (20.579 MVA, 13.8 kV) at the Tenkiller Ferry Powerhouse. The existing Siemens EX-1 analog static excitation systems, installed in 1995, require replacement due to age and support issues.
Contractor responsibilities will include:
- Design, manufacture, shop test, and deliver two digital static excitation systems with PPTs.
- Removal of existing excitation systems and associated equipment.
- Installation, testing, and commissioning of the new systems.
- Provision of final Operation and Maintenance documentation and as-built drawings.
- Collector ring inspection and optional refurbishment.
- Furnishing and installation of new safety railings.
- Concrete demolition, repair, and anchoring of new equipment. The Government will provide no materials or labor, except for setting stoplogs and gate operation.
